The user will then see the following message: <strong><code>The user profile could not be attached<\/code><\/strong>\u00a0and further down, it says: <code>Error Code 0x80090024, Message: The user's profile is a temporary profile<\/code>. This is caused by BAK entries for the user in the ProfileList in the server's registry. I created a PowerShell script to clean up these BAK entries.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The script checks for existing \u201eBAK\u201c entries, deletes them, and also deletes the referenced GUID entries for the profile.
