LLast week, I launched a poll on Twitter asking, „Would you pay for Citrix NetScaler HDX Proxy“ even though Citrix had announced it would be free at their own Synergy event? I’m sure there was a lot of applause when the announcement was made.
Let's take a look at the result and what it tells us.

Here are the results of the Twitter poll
- Most people don't want to pay for the HDX Proxy, and the reason is surely that Secure Gateway is free—and isn't that the whole point of the HDX Proxy? I agree with this group!
- As the next group up to $800, Netscaler users generally find the process too cumbersome and would like to see it simplified. Here, too, I agree that the wizards and workflow need to be simple, but That is why we need a new product?
- The $1,000 group should simply purchase a NetScaler Gateway and get help implementing it in their own environment.
I’d like to consider another option to replace Secure Gateway, and that is the Free Netscaler VPX Express!
